Only the power of the cross and the blood were enough to give us the grace we needed to receive forgiveness and salvation. All of us came into this world with a fallen nature or spirit. If left to our own devices we would all be disqualified from salvation. That means you and me and everyone. We would all be wallowing in the “Works of the Flesh”.
