The reason United are having problems maintaining their defensive shape is because their wingbacks arent supporting them enough. The reason United dont have any attacking edge anymore, is again, cause their wingbacks arent supporting the wingplay enough. I dont blame Valencia or Young anymore, probably cuz its the most difficult position to be playing in - having to be equally present at both ends of the pitch when the team needs them to be. However, if LVG played 4-3-3 for the of the season, im sure hed get the most out of a 11 man squad. This formations going to take weeks to adapt to.
