The reasons why I no longer listen to Radio Five Live . Sheila Fogarty, Victoria Derbyshire, Richard Bacon, good competent journalists and broadcasters have all left. To be replaced by Peter Allen who bumbles ,fumbles and mumbles his way hesitantly through his programme. He constantly seems as though he hasnt got a grip on what is happening or what is coming up. I sick and tired of hearing him say, we will have to leave it there because weve run out of time, or I will have to rush you as we dont have enough time. Why doesnt he learn to plan his interviews or retire preferably. If he didnt ask such the long winded rambling questions perhaps the interviewee would have more time to answer. I think he likes the sound of his own voice. We like the sound of the interviewees voice and the answer to more succinct questions and for Peter Allen to shut up. Also I turn my radio off instantly when I hear Nikky Campbell and his everyone talk at once programme. Why does he constantly let people deliberately talk over each other constantly interrupting and allow chaos in the nine oclock phone in. It makes listening impossible. With little attention paid to the listener who is trying to unravel the chaos, its time he was pensioned off to. Im pleased to say John inverdale has been pushed out to the darkest corners of sport that nobody cares about. I got sick to death of listening to him trying to belittle female presenters with questions outside their brief which he knew they wouldnt be able to answer and humiliate them. A female presenter who also worked on the Working Lunch who came from Tasmania had her country ridiculed more than once by him . Mind you inverdale really excelled himself when he slagged off the Co-op bank on air and was forced to make a grovelling apology. Some people on Five Live should be kept well away from people without a massive people skills training course. May I humbly recommend the three above as candidates. All I can say for the moment, is thank God for the World Service because Radio Five Live wont be getting the use of my years for quite some time. Your latest rescheduling is a joke. The only person worth listening to is Adrian Childs and frankly he is better used. on TV.
