The recent proposed legislation that would add another test to our already test - crazed school culture has once again turned my thoughts to Rep. Timothy Wesco. While I am sure this guy loves his family, small children and puppies, I cant quite wrap my mind around how he has gotten elected and reelected to the Indiana House. A home school graduate, Wesco still claims to have an associates degree from some place called the Midwest School of Theology. After much googling, all I can find about this school is an automatically generated FB page with six likes. After four years of this kid consistently voting on and sponsoring legislation that defunds and weakens the public schools he never attended, I think he needs to be made aware that we do not support his personal agenda to see more and more students diverted away from our democratic, common schools. Check his voting record. Look at the bills he has sponsored (including one that would compel public schools to accept home school athletes with no attendance requirement). Write this youngster an email and tell him that you are watching what he supports and what he doesnt and that he will be held accountable.
