The recent slaughter of Muslims during Jummaat prayer at Kano Central Masjid, proves that Boko Haram is not a Muslim Organisation committed to imposing Shariat in Nigeria. Shariat evolves from the acceptance by Muslims that Allah is the Law Giver. Muslims accepting Allahs injunctions from belief and practice and thus, accepting Islam as a complete way of life. I do not know of any religion that would support the gruesome killing or abduction of children from schools. Their offence? My papa, my mama sen me go sku. Truth is, our nature of subjective reasoning in all our dealings would continue to torment us. We are not objective even in our selection of leaders. The main criterion of leadership is JUSTICE!!!!! Its not about tribe, religion or academic excellence but about fearlessness in the dispensation of justice and sincerity of purpose. Until we are ready to see ourselves as Nigerians, there is no prediction to ending the seemingly vicious circle of violence in Nigeria. May Allah help us to do what is right. I have unshakable belief that Nigeria is designed and destined by Allah for greatness.
