The recent spate of kidnappings by a still unidentified group is seen as the last straw masterminded by the government of the Philippines in cahoots with its local coterie of sycophants to possibly delay or frustrate the formal rites for the restoration of SSDI Independence by a UN official representative in the Capital City of Jolo at any given most opportune time. One of the kidnap-victims was reportedly released upon payment of only 5,000 pesos (roughly US$120). But with such state of affairs, the Philippines can readily declare Sulu as unsafe for foreigners, therefore, further delaying the UN mission to officially declare the independence of SSDI and erase all doubts on who really is the legitimate Sultan of Sulu recognized by both local and international community.
