The recognition of a fully sovereign Palestinian State with borders which are at most provisional, is a moral necessity which cannot be linked in any way to the Palestinian Authority first reaching a comprehensive peace treaty with the occupiers. Nothing resembling a genuine peace treaty can ever be achieved within a carefully cultivated international political environment which now prevails and encourages Israel to violate all basic principles of international law and human decency with impunity. In the the current circumstances, any comprehensive agreement reached by the quislings who dominate the Israel controlled Palestinian Authority can never amount to more than an illegitimate set of corruptly imposed terms for Palestines complete capitulation to a belligerent and oppressive occupying military which has been enabled and financed by the West both to appease its own guilt stemming from the European Holocaust and to advance its own special interests in the region.
