The record high was tied in Salt Lake City today, (66 degrees). The old record was set in 1932. Mild weather will continue on Saturday statewide. It will be near or slightly above 60 in the North and in the mid to upper 60s across the South. Mostly cloudy skies will cover the North, while it will be partly cloudy in the Central and mostly sunny in the South. A cold front will bring valley rain and mountain snow to the North on Sunday. The next storm system has its origins in the tropics. It is expected to bring rain showers to all of Utah (and surrounding areas) Wednesday. Snow will fall in the mountains above 6,500 feet. Thursday and Friday will be cooler. Dan Pope Facebook: Dan Pope Good4Utah Twitter: @dangood4utah
