The red and white quilt is off the frame! This was my oldest UFO. The quilt top was made over 25 years ago, probably closer to 30 years. All the pieces including the borders were hand drawn with a ruler and pen (not even pencil!!) and cut out with scissors, and then hand pieced. The applique was done 12-13 years ago (possibly longer). I may go back and do a bit of quilting on the applique but I can do that on the domestic machine. I learned a few things from this quilt. For example, you need to do very tiny stippling and very close lines to make your quilting motifs pop AND that I need to do more practice to be able to outline quilt closely around applique. I enjoyed quilting this very much though. Now I just have to decide what the next project will be.
