The regular season starts Friday for the Powassan Voodoos. Theyre on the road to Cochrane and the Voodoos will have a couple Battalion draft picks joining them. Forward Steven Harland is one of the top major midget prospects in the province while Brendan DAgostino is a skilled forward who was born in North Bay. Powassan also signed Triple-A Trappers goalie Benoit Auger along with three high school players. Meantime, Mattawa is also in action Friday on the road to Kirkland Lake. The Nipissing Lakers mens hockey team is holding their Blue-White game Friday at Memorial Gardens from 7pm to 8:30pm. The team says its a great opportunity to check out all their new recruits.
