The results of the Zimmerman trial. Everyone seems to have focused their attention upon Mr. zimmerman and not much has been said about what precipitated the fatal shooting. Early reports of the incident printed younger photos of Travon in order to sway public opinion. Was Travon simp-ly in the wrong place at the wrong time? Was Mr. Zimmerman overzealous as some claim or was he attacked and fighting for his life? Would this trial have even received half the attention it got if the press did not play on the race card for sensationalism? What would the outcome be if Mr. Zimmerman had been tthe victim instead of Travon? Certainly, most people would not pull out a firearm and use it unless they were about to be attacked and in fear of their life. The amount of national attention this story received however is absurd. When you consider that the scandels facing the current president that far outshadow this tragedy, it must be a welcome distraction for Mr. Obama to have this story grab the limelight. How many people did this shooting really affect? Now compare that with how many people are affected by Federal snooping, an over abundance of Chinese imports that flood our markets ruining domestic jobs (not to mention that the Chinese use child labor), and the fact that we cannot seem to get ourselves out of foreign wars that should receive greater attention, makes you wonder just what our priorities are. The shooting was a tragedy to be sure, but the attention it received will now cause Mr. Zimmerman to be constantly looking over his shoulder thanks to an overactive news media that has worked up viewers into a racial frenzy. Unfortunately, they do not see facts, only that there was a Hispanic that shot an African American.
