The rise of fake Chartered Institutes in Bangladesh A Chartered professional is a person who has gained a level of competence in a particular field of work and as such has been awarded a formal credential by an organization in recognition. It is considered a status of professional competency, and the Chartered status is awarded mainly by professional bodies such as ACCA, ICAEW and CIMA. Chartered status originates from and may normally only be awarded by Institutions that have been incorporated under Royal Charter by the British Monarch. The title is legally protected and restricted. However in Bangladesh with the rapid growth of ACCA, many local tuition providers use the term Chartered in their name without any kind of approval whatsoever. Some of them are also ACCA approved learning partner! Therefore be aware of the fake Chartered institutes, this maybe not the only thing they are faking.
