The road ride dubbed TOUR DE NAKURU happened yesterday with 15 of us from Nairobi participating, it was filled with fun and adventure all the way,the most exciting was the drop from Maai mahiu turn off from the main Nairobi Nakuru highway as the cyclists coasted at high speed on the snaking road down the escarpment, we made short stops for pictures, water and snack bars before a major one in Naivasha for beans and chapati then at Delamere shop for ice cream and yoghurt, Weather was however a different story as the day was hot without any cloud cover, traffic was heavy in some sections but drivers were so much full of respect to us,there was no single incident,it took us 5hrs with all the stops to cover the 156km to Nakuru.
