The rod and staff. The rod of correction will drive out - TopicsExpress

The rod and staff. The rod of correction will drive out disobedience. Now I found these photos and I loved the one of the crowd asking Moses what was that in his hand. They all couldnt have put Moses out of Commission if they wanted to. The Hand of the Lord was upon him. It had been upon his since He was a child, even as He floated down the river in a basket. God raised him up to be a leader and to show Wicked King Pharaoh that YOU WILL LISTEN to THE LIVING GOD and YOU WILL NOT GET BY WITH OPPRESSING MY PEOPLE! Not only Pharaoh suffer consequences at the voice that spoke through Moses but so did the rebellious children of Israel. For instance, when Moses returned off the Mountain while receiving the Ten Commandments, only to find them worshiping idols. Moses came back and cleaned camp. Jesus cleaned house once. It was in the temple. See here is the thing. There has to be correction. Without coming under subjection to the laws and statutes of God we can not walk in power. Without power we are prey to the enemy and at that point the enemy can and will keep us in bondage. God spoke to Hezakiah, Get Your house in order or YE SHALL SURELY DIE. See, sin will bring forth death. Jesus came to give life and to give it more abundantly. Our flesh wants to resist Gods will for our life. When we make up our mind that we are tired of kicking against the pricks and we will walk in the ways of the Lord and his counsel then and ONLY THEN will God pour out his blessings upon us. What is a prick? It is like a cattle prod used as a means to guide cattle into the barn or in the direction of food, water or safety. So do you want power over Satan? Then stop kicking and do what God tells you to in the first place. You know how you can tell when someone is broken of their own will? They will be willing to do whatever it takes to get right and they are no longer resistant or ashamed to follow Jesus commandments. They will not be ashamed to stand before the whole world and say, HERE AM I LORD, SEND ME! Lets get with it, we need to get up like Moses and start trying to help lead people out of bondage. I never heard anyone in the Bible say they were sorry once they got over into the Promise land, nor at that point did I ever read where they hated Moses at that point either. A good shepherd is focused on one thing. Getting his people where they need to be. The murmuring and complaining from the Children did not change Moses mind about being their leader. He was under subjection to a Higher Authority. Take up Your ROD and you will know what to do! God Loves you and so do I. Have a great day!!!
