The roti and aloo/channa hoarde, where were you all when a number of women in your town were getting raped, and are getting raped, and are getting raped? And its really cheap to hear vande mataram and bharat maata ki jai in this instance. Seriously, what the hell do these phrases mean here? IT just looks like this mob was hell bent on punishing them only for their race, irrespective of whether they had actually committed the crime or not.
