The route of Americas problem is, well, inflation and a fiat currency, but beyond that, education. If you dont get a degree you are lacking accessibility to a lot of jobs on the market. You dont *need* most of these degrees either. In fact, most people get a job outside of their degree. Furthermore, Law School only requires you HAVE a degree but they dont care what it is in (showing very little value other than prestige in it). We need to go back to a more guild-based system or in modern terms trade based system in which people can learn a skill for free while providing a service (their time) in exchange. That would allow all people the opportunity for a future because they wouldnt be constrained by a 4 year bachelor degree.
