The rumors and speculation can now end. The Associated Press reports that a spokeswoman from the office of the mayor in Florence, Italy claims Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will tie the knot on May 24 in that city. For the event, the couple has reportedly rented Florences Belvedere Fort, a 16th century structure next to the citys famous Boboli Gardens, for just over 400,000 bucks, the spokeswoman, Elisa Di Lupo, told the AP. Proceeds from the rental will go to restore many of the masterpieces in Florence, she said. This will be Kanyes first marriage, and Kims third. She was previously married to producer Damon Thomas and basketball player Kris Humphries. Kim and Kanye got engaged this past October. In an interview with the Italian newspaper La Nazione, Kanye said, I love Florence, I love Italy and the Italian lifestyle, and sayshe and Kim had visited the city last year, secretly. I think we conceived our daughter North here...It was our first honeymoon, he added. It is one of the most beautiful cities in the world; for me, the most beautiful in Europe. The paper also reports that he and Kim will wed in Florence in May 24. Kanye pronounced himself pretty excited, but very happy about the event.
