The sad fact about life is that it really is just a game. Sure there are real things like the relationships we have with people, but sometimes even those can be created for superficial reasons. Its all about getting to the next level. Passing high school with good grades, going to a good college, getting a good job, a fancy car, a fancy house, and a family. Then we go on retirement where we look over all that we have done and decide whether or not we have won the game of life. Dont get me wrong, life can be surprisingly random and have its pleasant moments. But most of our paths are similar; the only thing different is the game pieces that represent who we are and the dice/cards that determine how we go about getting to that next level. But the one that has the most stuff in the end tends to be the winner. The most money, the most friends, and the most material objects. It is how it is, the only thing we can do is to be aware of it, and keep it as real as we can.
