The scare mongering by the virulently homophobic Child Protection League in its heinous full page ad in the Star Tribune is abhorrent. It perpetuates the worst kind of myths, and does real harm to young transgender people. This activity follows the same pattern weve seen in other states. When far right hate groups begin to understand that theyre losing battle after battle on issues of fairness for LGB people, they start going after T members of our community with a vengeance, counting on the idea that no one will stand up for our smallest, least understood segment. The best response is to prove them wrong. It hasnt worked in other states. Lets make sure they get no traction here.
