The scientific consensus over global warming is an extremely unusual one. In the past whatever level of weight you attribute agreement amongst scientists to their accuracy, their theories have been about an existing situation, right or wrong, whether the cause of stomach ulcers, the big bang or whether the earth goes round the sun. This time round the reason consensus has become so vitally important is the global warming they are preaching about hasnt happened yet but is predicted by their models for around 2100, after were all dead and wont know anyway. Therefore in order to increase a warming of 0.8C over 160 years to over 2 in another 80 or so theres nothing solid here and now and never could be, so they have to replace known present and past observations with something, which became the power of authority, otherwise known as consensus.
