The search for a decent striker to partner Andy Carroll has, today, thrown up another possibility. This morning the tabloid press is insistent that Sam Allardyce is hot on the trail of the Juventus forward - Fabio Quagliarella With Juventus having signed Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez, Quagliarella has fallen down the pecking order at the Turin club and could be perceived as surplus to requirements. At twenty-nine years of age, Quagliarella should still have plenty to offer, but that old chestnut about availability and cost has yet to rear its ugly head, therefore we won`t get too enthusiastic about a possible deal until something concrete becomes public knowledge.
