The season 2014 could not start better for Trio Pohádka! Cancer Research Benefit Concert held on saturday 15th February 2014 was a real success! Together with devoted musician friends, Trio presented a remarkable gems of music to the satisfaction and stomping applauses of nearly 150 audiences in the School of Music´s Theatre! The concert raised NZD 1734 in total net proceeds for Cancer Society! The highlight of the evening was surely NZ premiere of jewish-inspired piano quintet by Srul Irving Glick - Old Toronto Klezmer Suite. Prof Bruce Baguley from Auckland Cancer Research Centre supported us wonderfully in Schuberts String Quintet and his speech showed us NZ cancer research is globally important contributor in both drug development and primary research. Program finished off by wonderful Piano Quintet by Czech composer Antonín Dvořák which was a stunning cherry on the top.
