The second edition of The Other Hundred will include half a dozen brief essays from writers around the world to complement the 100 photo stories. We are delighted to announce that Tash Aw, whose most recent novel was the fantastic MAN Booker nominated Five Star Billionaire, will be one of the contributors this year! Tash was born in Taipei, Taiwan to Malaysian parents and grew up in Kuala Lumpur before moving to Britain to attend university. He is the author of three critically acclaimed novels. His debut novel, The Harmony Silk Factory (2005) won the Whitbread First Novel Award, a regional Commonwealth Writers’ Prize and was longlisted for the MAN Booker prize. His subsequent novels, Map of the Invisible World (2009) and Five Star Billionaire (2013) are both critically acclaimed and the latter was longlisted for the 2013 MAN Booker Prize.
