{The sense of oneness} : Muslims across the whole globe are like different parts of one entire body, what we call “Ummah”. If any one part of this body feels ailing, the whole body should wrench in pain. This is what our beloved prophet (s.a.w) taught us, and this is the essence of global Muslim fraternity. Hence, it follows if there is some problem with the people living in Palestine, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Turkey, Somalia, Mali, Pakistan, Afghanistan or any other place on globe, we must feel their problem as our own. We must empathize with them in their grief and sorrow. If not, there is definitely some problem with our Imaan (faith). While there are always some turncoats and hypocrites in our society who try to distract us by speaking things like, “come on… leave these Egyptians, Syrians, Palestinians… at the mercy of their own affairs, we already have our own lot to deal with.” Let me tell you, and warn you that these are the same people who don’t care about our local issues, either. Therefore, we should never let this bond of unity weaken. In fact, this bond of La’ilaha illallah should be dearest to all of us. May Allah guide us all. Aameen
