The shear ignorance of people never ceases to amaze me. Lets take this Ebola outbreak as a prime example. Ebola is not an airborne virus. You have to actually come in contact with BODILY fluids in order to contract the virus. People are up in arms because they want to bring the 2 infected Americans home and offer them treatment. They have taken every precaution available to make sure that the people caring for them are safe and that everyday people are safe. There are people having a fit because they are bringing them home, but I guarantee that if it was a member of their own family they would be fighting to get them home, where they can have the best treatment, with the strongest chance of survival. People believe all the bullshit they read or hear on the internet and suddenly they are experts about the workings of contagious viruses. It is complete bullshit and if you dont know what you are talking about then you shouldnt spout your ignorance for the world to have to listen to. These people need to come home, where they can get the best care, not be left in Africa where the health system is primitive and they have no chance of survival. Believe it or not we have a whole government agency dedicated to the treatment and containment of contagious disease, so how about we let them do their jobs and save these people. Those who spout ignorance are the reason for most panic about things like this.
