The short list of PS4 tips of the trade: 1. Make sure to download the update from the Playstation website and follow the steps mentioned on the site. -Updating it from safe mode is a quick and safer option in my opinion. 2. If you load a game, movie or app on the console the Home button will take you back to the home screen but will leave the application running in the background. To properly close the application, go to the app on the home screen and press the Options button and select Close Application and confirm. -Running too many applications at the same time will use up more RAM thus causing system problems if the RAM is maxed or close to being maxed. 3. If downloading games or apps from the Playstation Store, do it one at a time, be patient and wait for it to download. -If you installed the patch, Put on a Blu-Ray and set the settings to allow internet access while playing Blu-Ray Discs. You can enjoy the movie and have the app downloading in the background. You will be notified once the download is completed. 4. HDMI issues have been reported since before launch. Check the HDMI port from the console and make sure the pins are flushed aligned. If you notice a pin out of place put it back in place by carefully pushing it down with a pin and align it with the pins.
