According to Albert Koenders, UN Mali envoy, there is still a serious threat of terrorist activity in Mali. Koenders says, “Terrorist attacks in the north increased in the last part of 2013, killing civilians, four UN peacekeepers, and two French journalists. The terrorist threat has always been at the core of concerns. An upswing in terrorist activities confirms those concerns.” Pray for the end of terrorism in Mali and throughout Africa. Pray for peace and stability in Mali. Pray for Mali Believers to share their faith, particularly in Mali’s unstable north (The Bible, Philemon 1:6 RSV). @Azerbaijan is in SOUTHWEST ASIA... Violence between Azerbaijani and Armenian troops on the contact line is escalating. Recently, the Armenian military violated a long-standing ceasefire agreement over 1,000 times, killing two Azerbaijani troops. According to the OSCE Minsk Group, “The recent incidents undermine negotiations and diminish the prospects for peace.” Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmadov says, “The provocations of Armenian armed forces on the contact line of the troops and their consequences show the full readiness of Azerbaijan for war.” Pray against a war between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Pray for peace and reconciliation between both nations. Ask God to protect His Church on both sides during this time of unrest and conflict (The Bible, Psalm 121:7-8).
