The simple solution that will help people immediately is to restructure read policy in a way that encourages corporations to being the trillions they have sitting overseas home where it could be used to create new businesses, new technologies and new high-paying jobs. The second thing to do is restrict the flow of foreign workers into this to a level below demand, which will, in turn, drive wages up. Cheap labor from Mexico and Asia has driven wages down for decades. No one wants to confront the impact that cheap foreign laborers have on the poor and how the influx of Indian and Chinese engineers have hurt the middle class.
