The sky was filled with stars the last night, and I was looking up and wondering... what if they are really not stars, what if they are tiny little windows of heaven where our lost loved ones are looking down on us to let us know they are happy there. Sitting somewhere in peace, smiling down on us from heaven, watching us each day, every day, trying to give us a hint that they never went anywhere, but have always been right above us. You can feel them in the softness of a gentle wind, when they silently place their arms around you to calm us when we are sad. You can feel them as a silent whisper in your ear, trying their best to tell us we are never really alone. They are right there, enjoying your delightful laugh, watching you eat your food, trying to make a living under this enchanting sky. They touch your cheeks with those little raindrops from heaven, and send sunshine when they want to hug you. They never went anywhere, and still so much around and within you, sometimes inside the butterfly thats flying right next to you, just watching you silently as you stare up at the beautiful skies cluelessly.
