The start of the balcony garden. I love the terraced planters on the right to maximize space! Saw this on another page and copied the idea. Went to Home Depot and bought 4 step stair risers, the kind you use for decks and put legs in the back and some boards across a couple of steps to make it solid. (Thanks, Joe!) Will put another terrace at the other end of the balcony for the sun loving plants. The current one gets shade in the afternoons so I planted lettuces & wild arugula in them. A couple of them will be moved to the sunny side after its made. So far: 3 tomatoes, a lemon, a lime, carrots, radishes, swiss chard, green onions, Italian parsley, curly parsley, cilantro, stevia, oregano, rosemary and aloe vera. More to come!
