The state has become so impotent that the middle class has begun - TopicsExpress

The state has become so impotent that the middle class has begun to privatize their public problems. So, a middle class person will buy a mega ‘Poly Tank’ if he can’t get water through the taps, get a generator for consistent supply of electricity, buy a four wheel drive to deal with bad roads, send his children to ‘international’ (private) schools and the list goes on. At the end the only people in society with the education and economic capacity able to influence the actions of the political elite have zero interest in the performance of public schools, hospitals and other state institutions. ~ Kojo Asante More here: wp.me/pJrJC-f6
