The statement by the Chair of the Committee on Foreign Relations, Tedo Japaridze 12 years have passed since September 11 tragedy and I still remember that terrible day for USA, New York and Washington. I was the Ambassador of Georgia to USA then. It is hard to imagine how shocked America was, changing the attitude of the country and the whole world towards terrorism, which as appeared, has not geographical borders and is the problem of all of us. I would like to express my condolences to the Government of USA, the families of deceased, the fire-brigades, policemen, military men and American people in whole. We were all Americans that tragic day! Combat against terrorism has not been accomplished yet. It obtains various forms and scales. Participation of our country in anti-terrorist operations is very important. I believe that this struggle will provide peaceful and safe future for the world.
