The statement of Armenia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Edward Nalbandian on destruction of the Armenian Genocide Memorial Church in Deir ez-Zor We strongly condemn the terrorists’ destruction of the Armenian Genocide Memorial Church in Deir ez-Zor holding the remains of several martyrs of the Mets Yeghern. This appalling barbarism towards a sanctuary yet again demonstrates the savage nature of the so called “Islamic state” terrorist group. The international community should immediately stop, eradicate this contagion which threatens humanity, should uproot the channels of its feeding, financing, support and sponsorship.
