The stomping Shout to the Top was a rousing battle cry to rise up - TopicsExpress

The stomping Shout to the Top was a rousing battle cry to rise up against adversity and oppression and, even when theres nothing else left, keep positive and stand up for your beliefs. Given the political and social context of that time, the implication is this track was urging a downtrodden public ridden with social and political uncertainty, and in the grip of Thatchers reforms, to resist being dragged along and be true to your own cause. The video references the police state and miners strikes and illustrates TSCs support for such political movements of that time. This was the year they released Soul Deep with all proceeds being donated to the miners families too. Politics aside, the repetitive mantra scrawled on a canvas of thumping bass and drums, signature strings and urgent vocals equates to an infectious pop song that is still cherished among fans.
