The story: as I was in bumper to bumper traffic on the west side highway this morning, feeling glad I left so much time, something caught my eye. A tiny kitten in 4 lanes of nyc traffic. Cars were going over him and clearing him but each car was a chance at death. I was wincing and hoping somehow something would prevent this horror. Thats when he made it in front of my car. I stopped (in the left lane and grateful now for slow traffic) scooped the little guy up and put him in my lap. Now what. What could I do! What an sane person would do- call Elizabeth Robinson and Jenny Chun-Ossowski! Kizzy gave me the info for the ASPCA and both she and jenny the support to not flip out, and we were on our way. He is one pound and free of leukemia. They will put some weight on him and he will go to foster. Thats a pretty good day! So grateful he made it.
