The straight jump is a trampoline activity which involves the up and down jumping on the trampoline. The performer stands straight in the centre of the trampoline. The feet are shoulder-width apart. The arms are straight and held sideways. To initiate the jump, swing the arms backward and flex the knees and hips. From this position, jump in a relaxed manner and, as you land on the trampoline, flex the knees and repeat the sequence. The performer should be flat on his feet when contact is made with the mat and exert full pressure with an ankle stretch as the body is lifted.
