The strategic thoughts of autocratic leaders. Who would have - TopicsExpress

The strategic thoughts of autocratic leaders. Who would have fought for democracy, equality, and justice in South Sudan if autocracy were an alternative system of government to the NIF or NCP party in North Sudan? Now, eyes of the democratic world are on one man who is acting as a lawmaker, employer, and president in the Republic of South Sudan. Constitutionally, the president can fire ministers that he/she appoint such as minister of education, finance, and health just to mention a few examples. The president does not have power to unseat the vice-president of the republic and Secretary General of the party. Unseating his vice-president and Secretary General of the SPLM Party, President Kiir Mayardit fits the description of autocratic leader in the world. My assumption is that the world may suspend assistance and support that have given to South Sudan in response to unconstitutional autocratic action taken by president Mayardit. Some South Sudanese people can think or confirm that President Kiir delayed the SPLM Convention until he relieves all the senior members of the Party. Surely, President Mayardit is the only senior member of the SPLM right now. For instance, if he were to call the SPLM Convention into session at the moment, he would be reelected as a Party Chairman because of his seniority. We need South Sudan to be a Democratic country with equality, freedom, and human rights respect. Autocratic regime is bad for democracy, human rights, freedom, and progress of the country. In order to be reconsidered as a democratic leader, President Mayardit should call for early general election in South Sudan. Vice President of the Republic cannot be a hand-picked person; Secretary General of the party should not be a hand-picked individual too.
