The students of Columbia Colleges Sustainable Living class were tasked with coming up with an acronym to help consumers become better informed consumers. Heres what they came up with. SEA S = Source. Whered the stuff come from to make this product? E = Essential. Do I really need this? A = Alternatives. What could I use instead of buying this product? They liked this acronym because it connotes size (the ocean covers over 70% of the Earths surface), it was simple, it hit the fundamental questions that we should be asking ourselves and the products we buy, and the oceans are taking a major hit from our consumptive lifestyle. They done good today! See if you can employ SEA when youre out shopping.
