The subject of latex paint, discussed in another thread lately, made me think of a window splash I painted a few years ago for a type conference in Buffalo, New York. The orange ribbon in the photo was roller-coated on top of a white coat of latex. All other colors were applied on the outside of the glass with a flat (truck lettering brush), except for the interiors of the large letters. Those were roller-coated on the *inside* of the glass. That is how I achieved the very thin natural shade cast by the pale yellow outline. The thickness of the glass permits this trick.
