The summer heat is here! Protect yourself from the danger of heat by doing outdoor chores before 10am or after 5pm. Take cooling breaks every hour. Most importantly, drink plenty of water, 8 ounces every half hour you are working in the heat. If you experience weakness, cramps, nausea, get out of the heat and indoors fast. Cool off and hydrate. If your symptoms dont rapidly improve, contact your doctor.
