The summer of 2010 was an important year for me. I was privileged - for the 1st time in my life - to visit the holy cities of Medina and Mecca for the production of a televised documentary. It was also special because the schedule coincided with the last week of blessed #Ramadan and first week of #Syawal (1431). I also completed my maiden Umrah. I wish I knew much more spiritually to prepare myself for this eye-opening experience. Nothing that I had known in television production had prepared me for this trip, personally. There were SO MANY eye-opening experiences I wish I could tell into this documentary. Perhaps its His way of opening my perspective of Islam full-frontal, so to speak. I cant claim it be the perfect visual journey but I managed to cover what I was tasked during the given circumstances. He knows best. #Eid Mubarak to fellow Muslims.
