The suspect pictured is being sought in connection with the grab and run theft of a $13,500 diamond engagement ring from a mall department store. At 8:30 p.m. the suspect asked to see the ring and then grabbed it from the sales associate. Before entering the store the suspect had arrived in dark red or orange two-door car. The suspect is described as a black male, 5’10” with a medium build. 3a3b Franklin Borough, NJ - 6/8/2013 Police are seeking the suspect pictured for theft of a large quantity of jewelry from a retail jewelry store posing as a customer wanting to buy a ring. The owner of the jewelry store and a friend were removing jewelry from the showcases to secure them in order to close the store for the day. While securing the merchandise, the suspect grabbed a bag filled with jewelry and fled the store. After abandoning a stolen vehicle, the suspect is believed to have fled in a silver Dodge Avenger with Virginia plates. He is described as Hispanic, 5’7” and in his 30s.
