The system is rotten to the very core. We can all see that. Some may even argue that democracy is not, as a people, our cup of tea. Some may even support upstarts like Qadri and political amateurs like Khan, whose bid to bring the system to its knees is contingent upon coming to power. Yet, we must never let our criticism of their actions or ideologies cloud the reality that has come to the forefront of the laymans conscience and political discourse at large. Every shitty attempt by Khan to mount a populist opposition and every polemical fascist spurt by megalomaniacs like Qadri aside, the system needs to go and the sooner we all accept this, the better. I support those fighting for the larger cause, be it in a dharna or be it through contributing to building an intellectual narrative against the status quo. Do you?
