The tax payer purchased and supported Wagner Farm tries to defend - TopicsExpress

The tax payer purchased and supported Wagner Farm tries to defend their separation of mother cows and calves: We are not doing it to be mean, we are doing it for the safety of the calf. As a global society, we have bred dairy cattle to increase milk production over the past few hundred years. If we leave the calf with her mother, she will drink too much milk, which will lead to scours. Scours leads to severe dehydration and possible death. They also note to forward any comments or questions to Jena Johnson at [email protected] How about Wagner Farm stop implementing and promoting programming - including cow breeding - in support of the dairy, meat, and egg industries that often results in cruel outcomes for its program animals, including death? This video, taken by Wagner Farm Rescue Fund of Cayla mooing at the sight of her mother who was just taken past her to the milking equipment, shows why much of the public is distraught while visiting Wagner Farm. There are visitors to the milking demonstrations who are often even more distraught as staff has noted that the milking is for demonstration - that Wagner Farm doesnt even have pasteurization equipment and that much of the milk is dumped. Is that one of Wagner Farms defenses of support for the breeding of cattle and the increase of milk production? So that milk can be for demonstration purposes and dumping? As global issues are bringing more awareness and public attention to the exploitation of living beings and how they are treated, Wagner Farm appears to be increasingly viewed as headed towards being on the wrong side of history in general. Wagner Farm devising a magazine that appears to try and defend its programming against the many questions that the public has about animal welfare at Wagner Farm in itself suggests the intrinsic problems that the farm seems to be creating for itself in its programming and promotion of notoriously documented cruel and profiteering industries - which is also resulting in increasing public scrutiny of Wagner Farm. And, once again, a bucolic facade - this time in that of a colorful magazine - isnt hiding many of the ugly truths behind the promotion.
