The technique OMOc - Opposition Eye Movement dr. Renato Capaldini - psychologist - cognitive - behavioral psychotherapist OMOc – is the acronym by Opposition Eye Movement, a psychotherapy treatment that I use for several years with excellent results along with some collaborators. The studies conducted to date indicate that the technique can be particularly effective for those disorders that result from post-traumatic stress, also known by the acronym PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), such as thought disorders, which occur after having undergone violence. The technique seems to be equally valid for the problems OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and panic attacks, but can also be used effectively during the interview in a psycho-therapy session to eliminate anxiety attack or a simple crying spells. The treatment is simple to use and completely non-invasive, as it does not use accessories or machinery, is often used effectively only once during a therapeutic session and this can be inserted between the short therapies. The methodology was designed, not to eliminate the memory of trauma or fighting a highly anxiety-inducing event, but to divide the description of the component made by the affective or emotional problems that go with it. The result is a story free and peaceful, without the anxiety associated to the traumatic event. The technique OMOc means that the subject makes the information using the traumatic brain areas not appointed to this task and therefore, they are experienced as strange and extraneous, facilitating the dissolution, or rather, the emotional detachment from the traumatic event. The patients, after processing the event with the method OMOc, report that, contrary to habit, narrating the traumatic events is like telling something that happened to another person or that the story has lost its emotional contents. Object status of the subject quickly changes, change the verbal and non verbal behavior, the patent to express oneself with calm and tranquility, the mood changes, he smiles and report that they were strange, even if you do not understand how it can be changed the level of perception of the event. With the change to affective symptoms, evidence of the possibility of emotional exit from the labyrinth, in the patient facilitates the formation of a state to keep motivating the adaptive solution to the balance achieved. The experiment, carried out to date, has used two groups: one experimental and one control, not having, at the time, cases of relapse. For a more detailed study on the technique further trials are underway with the help of equipment for detecting bioelectrical signals (biofeedback). If you can and want to help me in the pursuit of research in progress, and if it has one of the inconveniences mentioned above or not, call 393 1628516 – I’m in Rome near Cinecittà. We ask for just a bit of your time. N.B. please note that during the experiments are collected physiological data, do not apply psychotherapeutic techniques or therapeutic indications. OMOC Opposition stands for Eye Movement, a psychotherapy treatment that I use for several years now, with excellent results along with some co-workers. The studies so far carried out indicate that the technique can be especially effective for those disorders that result from post-traumatic stress, also known by the acronym PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) such as thought disorders, which occur after having undergone violence. The technique appears to be equally valid for the problems DOC (obsessive compulsive disorder) and panic attacks, but can be effectively used during the interview in a psychotherapy session to eliminate a simple attack of anxiety or crying. The treatment is simple to use and completely non-invasive, as it does not use accessories or machinery, it is often effectively used only once during a session, and this can be inserted between the short-term therapies. The methodology has been investigated, in order to eliminate the memory of a traumatic event or fight a highly anxiety-provoking, but to divide the descriptive component of the fact by the affective or emotional that accompanies it. The result is a tale free and serene, without the anxiety associated with the traumatic event. The technique OMOc means that the subject makes the information using traumatic brain areas not appointed to this task, and therefore, they are experienced as strange and alien, facilitating the dissolution, or rather, the emotional detachment from the traumatic event. The patients, after processing the event with the method OMOc, report that, contrary to the usual, recounting the traumatic events is like telling something that happened to another person or that the story has lost its emotional content. The patient is expressed with calm and tranquility, mood changes, smiles and refers to feel strange, even if you do not understand how it can be changed the level of perception of the event. The shift towards affective symptoms, proof of the possibility of escaping the maze emotional, facilitates the patient the formation of a state that motivates him to keep the new equilibrium reached. The experimentation, until today accomplished, has used two groups: one experimental and one control, not experiencing at the time, the cases of relapse. For further study on the technique are being further experimentation with the use of equipment for detecting bioelectric signals (biofeedback). If you can and want to help in the continuation of ongoing research, both in the case in which it has one of the above or no discomfort, call 393 1628516 - we are in Rome Cinecittà area. Simply ask a bit of your time. NB During the experiments are collected physiological data do not apply psychotherapeutic techniques.
