"The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you can endure."(1 Cor 10:13) One definition I found says "Temptation is the desire to perform an action that one may enjoy immediately or in the short term but will probably later regret for various reasons: legal, social, psychological (including feeling guilt), health-related, economic, etc. In the context of religion, temptation is the inclination to sin." Some of the temptations I struggle with are not obvious "sins" but may be things that cause me harm in some way and end up affecting how I am spiritually. So whether I am tempted to sleep longer and skip my devotional time, eat unhealthy-which makes me feel awful, watch TV rather than call a friend who is struggling, or speak my mind rather than asking the Holy Spirit to give me the right words- in all these situations God will show me a way out. Father, please help me to live a life fully surrendered to You in all that I do
