The term I am humbled is one of those phrases that seems to have lost some of its meaning. But I can tell you that it was quite true after reading through the many kind and supportive comments I received yesterday. I think my post about perceived bragging on Facebook struck a chord because sharing our work and successes is a slippery proposition for many. How much is too much? There is no right answer. Each of our friends/followers has their own tolerance level, and you cant please everyone. Sharing and promoting our work on social media s an essential part of marketing yourself as an artist or business person in general. I am half owner of a media company (Grant-Day Media), a filmmaker, an occasional actor, and a professional writer in multiple mediums. Posting about my work is part of the equation. If people have a problem with that, its out of my hands. I am a grateful man. A blessed man. And I take nothing for granted, if I can help it. If anyone doesnt see that in my posts then theyre not looking very closely. Thanks to the many gracious people who came to my defense yesterday and for all of the extremely kind words. I love you all.
