The text message generation strikes again. Why should someone - TopicsExpress

The text message generation strikes again. Why should someone have to send a text 45 minutes prior to an appointment in order to confirm an appointment thats already been made? Or is it 6 hours before or a day before? If you believe that and appointment has to be reconfirmed before it is confirmed then what is the guideline, you tell me? Why would texting, a random way for people to spew disorganized thoughts that cannot be synced to a cloud-based calendar or other schedule keeping device even be involved in the process of appointment setting in the first place? Heres an idea, if an appointment is made for a certain time and agreed upon between two more parties that it is considered to be an appointment until it is canceled. While a confirmation call text or email is always appreciated in case someone had forgotten, it is not necessary unless you are a tool. Learning how to keep a schedule is one of the elements that separate successful people from unsuccessful people. And oh by the way, youre not so busy that you cannot do it, if you cant keep a schedule its because you are disorganized not because you are busy.
