The things you read will fashion you by slowly conditioning your mind. AW Tozer I am reading a book by Leonard Ravenhill called Sodom had no Bible and must say what great revelations. The question comes back to us. We have bible on our phones, an average of 2 bibles at home, home studies, church groups, churches every 27 feet, and twitter bible feeds. However, we march by or download without every reading. We have bibles with pages still stuck. We have empty church groups. We have bible studies still packaged. We have Christians proclaim who He is but have no relationship with Him. I am afraid that this country and the world will wake up and see a splitting of the clouds and fear a storm not knowing it is Christ. We are caught up in multimedia sites and items that we leave the bible on the table. We become somewhat spiritual by going to watch The Son of God and believe that it is scriptural because we ourselves dont know what the Word of God says. We sit in pews listening to a minister that repeats messages to a different congregation and is just as lost as their worst sinner. I talked to a minister Sunday that was trying to win me over with his vast knowledge of a bible I have never read. Scriptures that have no context to what he was saying. It is said that we will be judged greater for We Know! So today, what is our excuse for not reading the Bible. If Sodom lived free in sin not knowing, our worse will it be to live free in sin and know it? You can rest assured that you will not go to heaven on someones revelation but your own. You will not blame the pastor or the youth minister for leading you astray. Sheep are not very smart animals but they know the Masters voice! Do You? Lord, help me open my heart and mind to you; surrender myself unto You; open my soul to Your Spirit; heave to Your Spirit; and become a child of the Living God not a deserted child from God. Lord, I am the prodigal son coming home. Broken and Contrite! Ready for the lowly of positions but still in Your presence. Lord, I lived in the Cities of the Damned but now I choose the Pasture of Your choosing. Oh, Lord, You are my everything and I repent of the past and will forever more love and cherish Your grace and mercy and never return to the past. I love You Lord. A real book is not one that we read, but one that reads us WH. Auden I read my Bible to know what people ought to do, and my newspaper to know what they are doing. John Henry Newman
