The third day of trial is behind us It was a painful day. The defense did an extremely thorough in good job of identifying every weakness in our case. The jury was far too interested in hearing the explanation of the defense. As each juror leaned forward and pulled out their notepad I cringed. The notes were written down. The jurors seemed to be interested in being guided by the defense through its perspective on the case. There are two sides to every case. I truly believe that our side was accurate open honest and respectful of the jury. The jury saw the case from the perspective of the defense and gave a verdict that was extremely disappointing to my client. So I googled my favorite quote from Teddy Roosevelt about the man in the ring. If you havent read it it is worth reading. My lovely wife told me to enjoy a cigar and a glass of scotch with some friends. I just finished that and Im headed home for a good nights sleep. Back in the ring tomorrow.
